# How to change the course settings for Learners

### Learn how to change the course settings for Learners

1. To change course settings for an individual user, you need to go to the **Users** tab and locate the user in the list. Once located, click on the user's name to access the user's profile.

2.  Once located, click on the user's name to access the user's profile. Click on the **edit 🖉** button beside the user's name.

A new window will pop up where you can edit the following details of the course for the selected Learner:
*   the **Mandatory status**: _voluntary, recommended, required_ (select from the drop-down list)

*  the **number of Quiz attempts** allowed (use the arrows to set the number).

3. Click **Save** once you're done.
