# Manually set a course as "Completed" for a Learner

### Learn how to override the completion of a course and mark it as Complete for a learner.

You can override the completion of a course and mark it as **Complete** for a learner, just follow the steps below: 

1. Click your **Learners** tab and locate the learner's name in the user list. Click on the User’s name to open his/her individual profile.

2. Find the course in the **'Courses'** section and click the **three dots** button and choose **Add Exemption**

3. A pop-up tab window will appear, click the **Other Evidence** - you can then choose the completion date of the course and then click **Save**.

4. After adding the exemption, the course will be listed as **'Exempted'**, because it was done through a manual override but it will appear along with the other completed courses.
