Qintil and the GDPR

How we're complying with the new European General Data

Protection Regulations

Our Commitment to You and the Protection of Your Data

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most fundamental change to EU data privacy law
in decades, and will go into effect on May 25, 2018.

Besides strengthening and standardising user data privacy across the EU nations, GDPR will require new or additional obligations on all organisations that handle EU citizens' personal data, regardless of where
the organisations themselves are located. On this page, we'll explain our methods and plans to achieve GDPR compliance, both for ourselves and for our customers.

Preparing for the GDPR

The GDPR's updated requirements are significant and we are working hard to bring Qintil's product
offerings and contractual commitments in line so that our users and customers can prepare themselves
before May 25, 2018.

To achieve this we are:

Continuing to invest in our security infrastructure;
Making sure we have the appropriate contractual terms in place for people and organisations that use Qintil; and
Enhancing and developing tools for personal data portability and data management

We'll also continue to monitor the guidance around GDPR compliance from privacy-related regulatory
bodies, and will adjust our plans accordingly if it changes. We'll provide you with regular updates along
the way so that you're always current.

Updates to our Terms of Use

We'll be updating our terms of use for individuals and organisations in May.  You'll need to accept these
new terms of service to continue using Qintil.

Our Data Security Infrastructure and Certifications

Protecting our customers' information and their users' privacy is extremely important to us. As a cloud-
based company entrusted with some of our customers' most valuable data, we've set high standards for security.

If you'd like to learn more about Qintil's security policies and procedures, please see this article. It
provides detailed information on how we approach data security.

Data Portability Solutions and Data Management Tools

To help our customers and their users comply with the GDPR, we have developed, and will have
launched by the May 25th deadline, new data management tools.

Profile deletion: You can quickly delete a user from your organisation, and users can quickly delete
their Qintil profile
Request personal data:  You can request information on the personal data that we hold, and request that we delete it
If you're an organisation using Qintil Learning Manager you can comply with personal data requests
from within the Users section of Qintil Learning Manager.

Staying Up To Date

We're committed to ensuring that we deliver GDPR compliant solutions for our customers and users. We'll make sure that you're prepared before the deadline and we may add additional measures to our policies before then and afterwards.  We'll always update you on any changes to keep you compliant.

If you have any questions about GDPR, your data or your own organisation's GDPR compliance when
using Qintil, please email support@qintil.com.
